Lisa Dukart Headshot 2022Lisa Dukart is an award-winning journalist and editor who has spent the past decade covering Greater Philadelphia in various capacities. 

Currently the suburban newsletter editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer, Lisa is leading a new newsletter initiative focused on delivering and growing coverage of hyperlocal news to suburban audiences. 

Prior to The Inquirer, Lisa was the associate editor of the Philadelphia Business Journal. There, she oversaw the full lifecycle of 15 annual special publications, such as 40 Under 40, Best Places to Work, Women of Influence and Most Admired CEOs. She also wrote and edited business-focused daily and feature news stories for digital and print audiences, led all social media initiatives, and ran point on tech vertical PHL Inno, including its market launch in 2021, helping make the paper a top market in the American City Business Journals network. 

Previously, Lisa spent five years at Today Media, Inc., where she rose to executive editor of monthly lifestyle magazine Main Line Today, a role she also held at its sister publication, The Hunt.

Additionally, Lisa is a longtime contributing writer for biannual magazine Weddings Today, where she writes about trends and real weddings throughout the Brandywine Valley.

Her work has also appeared in Delaware Today, Boston magazine, and AAA Traveler Worldwise.

Lisa holds a Master of Science in journalism from Boston University’s College of Communication and a Bachelor of Art, also from BU, in English and Philosophy. During her time there, she wrote for campus publications The Quad, The Comment and Boston University News Service.

Beyond traveling, Lisa’s interests include hiking, reading, tennis and photography.
