Lisa Dukart is an award-winning journalist and editor. A digitally-savvy, versatile storyteller, she is equally adept at writing long-form non-fiction narratives and breaking news for both online and print audiences.
Lisa currently serves as the associate editor of the Philadelphia Business Journal, where she helms special publications, in addition to working on the weekly newspaper, its online counterpart and its social channels.
Previously, Lisa spent five years as a vital part of the Today Media, Inc. editorial team, where she helmed efforts as the executive editor of Main Line Today, a monthly luxury lifestyle magazine focused on Philadelphia’s suburbs. Lisa wrote and edited hundreds of stories for this CRMA member title during her tenure, conceptualizing stories, packages and compelling editorial calendars.
Also under the Today Media, Inc. umbrella, Lisa served as the executive editor of The Hunt, an affluent quarterly lifestyle magazine showcasing Delaware and Pennsylvania’s Brandywine Valley. Focused on enhancing both its print and online footprints, Lisa was also responsible for engaging digital audiences through exclusive stories and social media channels. She was also the originator of The Hunt‘s Instagram account.
Additionally, Lisa is a longtime contributing writer and editor for Weddings Today (formerly Delaware/Main Line Bride), a biannual publication produced by Main Line Today and Delaware Today, reporting on wedding trends and real nuptials throughout the region.
Lisa’s work also regularly appears in the pages of Delaware Today, the First State’s monthly lifestyle magazine, as well as other publications throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Other bylines include Boston magazine and AAA Traveler Worldwise.
Lisa earned her Master of Science in journalism from Boston University’s College of Communication. She also earned her Bachelor of Art at BU, graduating with a double major in English and Philosophy, and a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She wrote for campus publications, including The Quad, The Comment and Boston University News Service.
Beyond traveling, Lisa’s interests include hiking, reading, tennis and photography.
